Last week, we presented our Big Raffle winner Chris Lane, Owner and General Manager of McFarland Ford, a $25,000 check. Chris generously donated his entire winnings back to the NHADA Foundation to be used as financial aid for students applying for the 2-year Ford ASSET program at Manchester Community College.
The Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training) program allows students to fuel their passion and make it a career. ASSET is one of many co-op programs in the state offered through NH's community colleges where students can earn while they learn. Students alternate for six to eight weeks in the classroom and six to eight weeks with their sponsoring Ford or Lincoln dealer over a two-year period. At the end of the two years, they earn an Associate’s Degree and valuable inside the dealership experience.
McFarland Ford is an enthusiastic vocal proponent of the Ford ASSET program. Currently, they employ 3 graduates of the program and an employee who will be enrolling next year.
